GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING GROUP 11 HERBICIDE

eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide is a member of the pyridines group of herbicides with the disrupters of plant cell growth mode of action. It belongs to Group I herbicides for weed resistance management. Some naturally-occurring weed biotypes resistant to eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide and other Group I herbicides may exist due to normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. Such resistant weeds will not be controlled by this product or other Group I herbicides. eChem (Australia) Pty Ltd accepts no liability for losses resulting from the failure of this product to control resistant weeds, as the occurrence of resistant weeds is challenging to detect before use.

COMPATIBILITY

eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide is compatible with 2,4D Amine or 2,4D Ester, glyphosate 450, Lontrel* Herbicide, Starane* 200 Herbicide, Touchdown* Broadacre, and Chlorpyrifos 500 Insecticide. When mixing with glyphosate in fallow, refer to the glyphosate label for use rate and recommended adjuvants. DO NOT use Uptake Spraying Oil or D-C Trate* Crop Oil. For sorghum, eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide is compatible with Atrazine (500 g/L flowable product only) and Starane* 200 Herbicide. PVC gloves are not recommended for eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide; therefore, when tank mixing with products that require PVC gloves, workers should wear nitrile gloves.

MINIMUM RECROPPING PERIODS

Before using eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide in tank mixes with other herbicides, check the plantback information on all product labels. The product with the longest plant-back period will determine the time between spraying and planting.

MIXING

Half fill the spray unit with water and add the required amount of eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide. Add the remaining water with the agitator running. If required, add crop oils or wetters/surfactants last. Maintain mechanical or bypass agitation during spraying. Only mix a sufficient solution for immediate daily use and avoid storing prepared solutions. For basal bark and cut stump application, quarter-fill the spray unit or mixing container with diesel and add the required amount of eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide. Add the remaining diesel and shake or agitate thoroughly to mix the contents. Only mix a sufficient solution for immediate daily use and avoid storing.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

  1. WOODY WEED SITUATIONS:

    • High Volume Spraying: Thorough coverage of foliage and stems to the point of runoff is essential. Apply using a No. 6 to 8 tip at 700 - 1500 kPa. Handgun or knapsack may also be used for smaller infestations.
    • Aerial Application: Apply in 100 to 200 L water per hectare with calibrated aircraft to ensure half overlap passes. Use nozzle configurations producing droplets of not less than 250 to 350 micron diameter.
    • Controlled Droplet Application (C.D.A): Use equipment like Micron Herbi* with a nozzle to ensure a droplet density of 20/cm2.
    • Low Volume High Concentrate Application Techniques: Use gas-powered gun or sprinkler sprayer to obtain uniform coverage.
  2. Basal Bark and Cut Stump Treatment:

    • Apply eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide mixed with diesel for basal bark and cut stump applications. Apply liberally to the freshly cut stump.
  3. CROPPING/FALLOW SITUATIONS:

    • Boom Application: Apply in a minimum spray volume of 50 L/ha with flat fan nozzles at pressures of 200 - 300 kPa. Ensure double overlap of the nozzle patterns.
    • Aerial Application: Use a minimum spray volume of 35 L/ha with flat fan and CP nozzle configurations. Apply when wind does not exceed 10 km/hr and/or air temperature does not reach 30°C.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Weeds should be actively growing for optimal herbicide effect.
  • For cropping/fallow situations, DO NOT allow drift onto desirable plants.
  • When using eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide with diesel, nitrile gloves should be worn.
  • For basal bark method, apply only with hand-directed equipment to avoid repelling the diesel mixture.
  • Check the marking agent and consult equipment directions for C.D.A. units.
  • Human flagging is not authorized unless protected by engineering controls.
  • DO NOT spray when wind exceeds 10 km/hr and/or air temperature reaches 30°C.

Always follow safety precautions and label instructions for proper usage of eChem Triclopyr 600 Herbicide.
