GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

This herbicide is designed for selective control of certain weeds in wheat, triticale, barley, oats, and cereal rye. It can be used as a pre-sowing treatment for wheat and triticale, as well as a post-sowing treatment for various cereals. Consideration of soil pH is crucial, avoiding usage on soils with a pH of 8.6 or higher due to potential extended soil residual activity.

Crop Safety and Application:

  • Apply when weeds are small and actively growing.
  • Best results are achieved when rainfall or sprinkler irrigation wets the soil to a depth of 5 to 7.5 cm within 4 weeks of application.
  • Take precautions regarding soil pH, and refrain from use on soils with pH 8.6 or higher.
  • Crops other than specified cereals can be highly sensitive to low concentrations of the herbicide in the soil.

Pre-sowing Incorporated by Sowing:

  • Apply a spray just before sowing or during sowing on soils less than pH 7.
  • On soils with pH 7 or greater, timing is not critical.
  • For WA, avoid applying to dry sandy soils prone to rapid leaching.
  • For SA, seek advice before using rates greater than 15 g/ha on specific soils.

Direct Drilled Crops:

  • Apply tank mixed with Spray.Seed or glyphosate per manufacturer's recommendations.

Post Crop and Weed Emergence:

  • Apply after crop emergence when weeds are small and actively growing.
  • Delayed treatment or adverse conditions may result in slower weed control.

Resistant Weeds Warning:

  • This herbicide belongs to the sulfonylurea group (Group B). Resistant weed biotypes may exist, and caution is advised.
  • Do not make more than one application of an ALS inhibitor herbicide to a crop.

Grazing Advice:

  • Avoid grazing treated areas within 24 hours of application for optimal weed control.
  • Nil withholding period applies for grazing treated areas.

Compatibility and Spray Preparation:

  • Use a water dispersible granule formulation.
  • Compatible with glyphosate and paraquat.
  • Not effective against Wild Oats but compatible with Wild Oat herbicides Avadex BW, Mataven, and Puma Progress.
  • Compatible with various herbicides and insecticides; refer to compatibility section for details.
  • Apply with a non-ionic surfactant for post-emergence applications.

Sprayer Cleanup:

  • Thoroughly clean equipment after use to prevent injury to non-target crops.
  • Use a chlorine bleach solution as part of the cleaning process.

Protection of Crops, Non-target Plants, and Environment:

  • Avoid application near desirable trees or plants, and prevent drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.
  • Do not contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.
