GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

This insecticide is both a contact and residual product, suitable for protective or knockdown treatments. For optimal results, apply during egg hatch, ensuring thorough coverage. Application during cooler parts of the day is recommended.

MIXING:

  1. With Water:

    • For low and high-volume ground applications, add the required quantity to water in the spray tank. Maintain agitation.
    • For aerial applications with water as a carrier, use a minimum spray volume of 15 L/ha.
    • Always use a non-ionic surfactant, unless otherwise specified.
  2. With Oil-Based Bulking Agents:

    • For Ultra Low Volume (ULV) aerial applications with oil-based bulking agents, add the mixing partner first, then Ken-Tac 100. DO NOT mix with water.

APPLICATION – Grapevines, Pome, and Stone Fruit:

  1. Dilute Spraying:

    • Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes up to run-off. Apply enough water to cover the crop without excessive run-off.
    • Adjust water volume based on industry guidelines or expert advice.
    • Add the specified product amount per 100L of water.
  2. Concentrate Spraying:

    • Use a sprayer applying volumes below run-off. Determine dilute spray volume needed.
    • Calculate concentrate mixing rate using concentration factor.
    • Adjust spray volume and mixing rate as the crop grows.

APPLICATION METHODS:

  1. Low and High Volume by Ground Rig or Aircraft (Water Carrier):

    • Apply with a sprayer designed for even coverage.
    • Ground Application: Use 50-200 L/ha for most crops; adjust based on crop type.
    • Aerial Application: Use a minimum spray volume of 20 L/ha.
  2. Ultra Low Volume (ULV) by Aircraft (Oil Carrier):

    • Mix with compatible ULV products, applying a minimum total spray volume of 1.5 L/ha.
    • Apply during cooler parts of the day, avoiding calm or very windy conditions.

COMPATIBILITY:

This product is compatible with various insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides. Do not mix with wettable powders and water dispersible granules before adding to the spray tank. Specific mixing guidelines apply to ULV formulations.

INSECTICIDE RESISTANCE WARNING:

This insecticide belongs to Group 3A. Insecticide resistance management is crucial. Resistance may exist, and the product may not control resistant insects. Apply in combination with other groups to manage resistance. Specific resistance strategies may be applicable. Consult local authorities for guidance.

NOTE: Application to Helicoverpa armigera larvae longer than 5 mm in NSW and Qld may be ineffective and could increase synthetic pyrethroid resistance. If infestations persist, treat with an insecticide from another chemical group.
