Insecticide Resistance Warning:
- Kenso Agcare Kensban 500 Insecticide is a Group 1B Insecticide.
- Some naturally-occurring insect biotypes resistant to Kensban 500 and other Group 1B Insecticides may exist due to normal genetic variability in any insect population.
- Repeated use of Kensban 500 or other Group 1B Insecticides can lead to the dominance of resistant individuals.
- The effectiveness of Kensban 500 on resistant individuals may be significantly reduced.
- Detection of resistant individuals before use is challenging, and Kenso Corporation accepts no liability for losses due to the failure of Kensban 500 to control resistant insects.
- Specific resistance strategies may apply. For more information, contact your local supplier, Kenso Agcare representative, or local department of agriculture agronomist.
PRECAUTIONS:
Re-entry to Treated Areas:
- Field crops, tree crops, and vines: Entry is not allowed until spray deposits have dried. If prior entry is required, limit the duration of entry and wear appropriate protective clothing.
- Greenhouses: Entry is prohibited until spray deposits have dried and treated areas are adequately ventilated. If prior entry is required, limit the duration of entry and wear suitable protective clothing.
- Cotton chippers: Entry is prohibited until spray deposits have dried. After this time, wear appropriate protective clothing.
Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment:
- Kensban 500 is very highly toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates and highly toxic to birds and reptiles.
- Avoid contaminating streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used containers.
- Re-application to the same crop within 7 days is not recommended unless specifically stated in the directions for use.
- Prevent spray drift onto sensitive areas, including natural streams, rivers, waterways, and human dwellings.
- Implement a spray drift management strategy, such as those in the 'Best Management Practices Manual for Cotton Growers' or the 'Pilots and Operators Manual.'
- Options for minimizing drift to sensitive areas include not spraying within a certain distance of sensitive areas when the wind is blowing towards them or ensuring that drifting spray will be intercepted by a catching surface like shelter trees, an unsprayed row of orchard trees, or hail netting.
