GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Kyte 700 WG Herbicide can be used for pre- or post-emergence weed control, depending on the crop and target weeds. When applied pre-emergence, susceptible weeds may emerge but will experience retarded growth, leading to eventual death or stunted growth. Adequate soil moisture is crucial for optimal activity. When applied post-emergence, weeds will either die or remain stunted, minimizing competition with the crop. For post-emergence control, a non-ionic surfactant or an adjuvant specified in the DIRECTIONS FOR USE must be added.

MIXING: Kyte mixes readily with both hard and soft water. Fill the spray tank half to three-quarters full with clean water. With the agitator running, add the required amount of Kyte, then fill the tank with water. When tank mixing with other compatible products, add the other product first, mix thoroughly, and then add Kyte.

APPLICATION:

  • Ground Application:
    • Avoid overlaps when spraying.
    • Apply in 50-100L/ha water using flat fan nozzles.
    • Application in row crops may be done as a band over the row.
  • Aerial Application (Pre-emergence only):
    • Avoid overlaps.
    • Apply in a minimum of 20L/ha water with a maximum swath width of 18m.
    • Use droplet VMD of 230-280 microns.
    • Avoid application under conditions likely to cause spray drift onto non-target areas.

EQUIPMENT CLEAN-UP: Thoroughly flush all spray equipment with water after using Kyte and before using other products. Do not discharge rinse water where it may reach streams, water bodies, or natural vegetation.

COMPATIBILITY: Kyte is compatible with various herbicides, including Rifle, Astound Duo, Triflur X, trifluralin, metribuzin, cyanazine, diuron, Roundup, glyphosate, paraquat plus diquat, simazine, diflufenican, dimethoate, and omethoate. Do not tank mix with selective post-emergence grass herbicides.

Kyte is also compatible with non-ionic surfactants and Bonza, Hasten, and Kwicken.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: Kyte 700 WG Herbicide belongs to the Imidazolinone group (Group B). It inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS). Use Kyte in rotation with herbicides of different modes to manage weed resistance. Monitor for surviving weeds and prevent seed set.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, PLANTS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Do not apply under conditions likely to cause drift onto susceptible plants, crops, or pastures.
  • Avoid spraying within 50m of wetlands or waterways.

CROP SAFETY:

  • Kyte may cause slight shortening of plant internodes and transient crop yellowing, especially post-emergence or under poor growth conditions.
  • Do not use Kyte pre-emergence on Collegian and Cressy Blue field pea varieties.
  • Do not use Kyte post-emergence on field pea varieties other than Alma, Dun, Dundale, Early Dun, and Wirrega.
  • Do not use pre-emergence on serradella or seedling lucerne.
  • Do not use post-emergence on chickpeas, faba beans, or mung beans.
