GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS - APRISCO Fungicide

1. Purpose:

  • APRISCO is a protectant fungicide designed to be applied before diseases occur to ensure high effectiveness.
  • Utilize disease warning services or past history to determine the timing of the first spray.
  • If diseases are already present, use an eradicant product first and mix it with APRISCO.

2. Mixing:

  • Invert the container several times to ensure a uniform mixture.
  • Mix the required quantity of APRISCO with water in the spray tank, ensuring the agitator is operating.

3. Application:

  • Apply APRISCO using high volume, low volume, misting, or aircraft spray equipment.
  • Thorough and uniform coverage is crucial for effective disease control.
  • Suggested spray volumes per hectare:
    • High volume: 500 litres or more
    • Mister: 75 to 255 litres
    • Low volume: 200 litres or more
    • Aerial application: 20 litres or more

4. Compatibility:

  • APRISCO is compatible with wettable powder formulations of commonly used fungicides, insecticides, and miticides.
  • Do not mix with:
    • Oil-based emulsifiable or flowable pesticides, unless compatibility has been verified.
    • Spraying oils or apply to crops treated with oil within the last 10 days.
  • Wetting agents do not enhance performance, and certain surfactants may cause plant injury under specific conditions.

5. Resistance Warning:

  • APRISCO Fungicide belongs to Group M5 fungicides.
  • The repeated use of APRISCO or other Group M5 fungicides may lead to the development of naturally occurring resistant fungi.
  • Resistant fungi will not be controlled by APRISCO, potentially resulting in reduced efficacy and yield loss.

6. Precautions:

  • Protection of Livestock:
    • Avoid contaminating feed or foodstuffs with APRISCO or its empty containers.
  • Protection of Wildlife, Fish, Crustaceans, and Environment:
    • Dangerous to fish; avoid contaminating water bodies with the chemical or used containers.

7. Storage and Disposal:

  • Store APRISCO in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Triple or pressure rinse containers before disposal, and add rinsings to the spray tank.
  • Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site. If recycling, return clean containers to a recycler or designated collection point.
  • For non-recycling, break, crush, or puncture empty containers and dispose of appropriately in compliance with regulations.
  • Do not burn empty containers or product.

8. Safety Directions:

  • APRISCO can cause eye and skin irritation. Avoid contact and inhalation.
  • Sensitive workers should use protective clothing, including cotton overalls, a washable hat, elbow-length PVC gloves, goggles, and a disposable mist face mask.
  • In case of contact, wash skin with soap and water; if in eyes, rinse immediately with water.
  • After use, wash hands, arms, and face thoroughly. Wash gloves, goggles, and contaminated clothing after each day's use.
