GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

KELPIE S-ZINE 900 HERBICIDE:

  • It's a pre-emergent herbicide most effective on bare, moist soil. Rain or irrigation within 2 weeks enhances effectiveness.

  • RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: It belongs to Group C herbicides. Resistant weed biotypes may exist. Consult local authorities for resistance management.

  • INTEGRATED WEED MANAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR TT CANOLA: Consult the Canola Association of Australia for recommendations. Consult an agronomist before use on TT Canola.

TO MINIMIZE HERBICIDE RESISTANCE:

  • Avoid dry sowing in heavily weed-infested paddocks.

  • Adapt weed control to anticipated weed spectrum and pressure.

  • Do not use Atrazine or KELPIE S-ZINE 900 HERBICIDE if triazine herbicides were used last season.

  • Monitor escapes, especially in paddocks with a history of Group C herbicide use.

  • Avoid consecutive yearly use of Group C herbicides.

TO AVOID TRIAZINE CARRY-OVER:

  • Acid soils (pH < 6.5): Max rate of Atrazine/KELPIE S-ZINE 900 HERBICIDE is 2.2 kg/ha.

  • Alkaline soils (pH > 6.5): Max rate is 1.1 kg/ha.

  • Post-emergence use: Use Atrazine only at rates ≤1.1 kg/ha on both soil types.

RESISTANT WEEDS REPORTING:

  • Collect plant/seed samples where resistance is suspected and seek professional advice.

MIXING:

  • Half-fill tank with water, agitate vigorously, add granules steadily, ensuring complete dispersion before filling to volume with water. Continue agitation.

APPLICATION:

  • Use boom or knapsack sprayer. Apply 50-200 L/ha with boom, min 500 L/ha through knapsack.

  • Clean equipment immediately after use.

TT CANOLA APPLICATION:

  • Do not apply by aircraft. Use low boom sprayer with buffer zones to water bodies. Avoid run-off areas.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • May be mixed with various herbicides. Conduct compatibility test before mixing.
