GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Mode of Action: FARMALINX SixGun 510 Herbicide is a water-soluble liquid herbicide with a non-selective mode of action. It controls a broad range of emerged annual and perennial weeds without providing residual activity. Once in contact with the soil, it becomes inactive. The herbicide is absorbed by plant leaves and stems, inhibiting a plant enzyme and causing a breakdown in the metabolic pathway, leading to the death of the plant. Visual effects include gradual wilting, yellowing, and complete plant browning. The time for these effects to appear varies based on factors such as climate conditions, temperature, and moisture.

Crop Establishment: When using the herbicide for weed control before establishing a new crop or pasture, ensure that the crop or pasture is not sown until a suitable seed bed is present. Sowing timing may vary based on the level of weed cover and preparation of the seed bed.

MIXING AND APPLICATION

Boom Application:

  • Recommended spray volumes of 25-100 L water/ha with a fan nozzle at pressures of 240-280 kPa.
  • Set boom height to ensure double overlap of spray patterns at the top of the weed canopy.

Wiper Equipment:

  • Suitable for situations specified in the directions for use table.
  • Operate at least 10 cm above the crop, with weeds at least 15 cm above the crop.
  • Best results with lower speeds of application (not exceeding 8 kilometers per hour) and double pass applications in opposite directions.

Aerial Application:

  • Minimum spray volume of 20 L/ha for Micronair and boom equipment.
  • Droplet size should be 250-350 microns, and swath width 15-17 meters.
  • Aerial application recommended in pasture or fallow situations before establishing a new crop or pasture or in pre-harvest sorghum.

Application in Hot Conditions:

  • Increase water volume to at least 30 L/ha and droplet size to at least 300 microns VMD when the temperature reaches 25°C.
  • Avoid air application in temperatures above 30°C.

SURFACTANT: The addition of surfactant may improve weed control, especially where water rates are high or product rates are low. Recommended surfactant rates are 200 mL/100 L of 1000 g/L non-ionic surfactant or 250-500 mL of 700 g/L surfactant. Do not add spraying oils, agricultural chemicals, or any other material unless directed on the label.

MIXING: When mixing with water, use clean water. Dirty water or hard water containing calcium salts may reduce the product's effectiveness. Follow the specified mixing procedure.

COMPATIBILITY: The product may be mixed with various products to enhance weed control and broaden the spectrum. Refer to the "Directions for Use" section for detailed information on tank mix situations.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND USAGE: FARMALINX SixGun 510 Herbicide should only be stored, mixed, or applied in plastic or plastic-lined, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, or fiberglass containers. It reacts with galvanized steel and unlined steel to form a highly combustible gas, which could cause an explosion.

RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING: FARMALINX SixGun 510 Herbicide is a Group M Herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to the herbicide and other Group M herbicides may exist. The development of resistant weeds can occur with repeated use. No liability is accepted for losses resulting from the failure of the herbicide to control resistant weeds.

PRECAUTION: Do not store, mix, or apply the product or spray solutions in unlined steel or galvanized containers. Use stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminum, plastic, or fiberglass containers or spray tanks.

PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS: The product is non-selective and may cause severe injury or kill desirable plants if it contacts their foliage, stems, or fruit. Avoid spraying under conditions likely to cause drift onto nearby susceptible plants, adjacent crops, or pasture.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK: No withholding period is specified, but removal of stock may be necessary to achieve efficacy. Stock should be removed from the treated area and only allowed to return after a specified period.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT: Avoid contaminating dams, rivers, or streams with the chemical or used containers. When controlling weeds near water, follow label directions to minimize spray entry into the water.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in closed, original containers in a cool, well-ventilated area. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of containers in compliance with local regulations. Do not burn empty containers or product.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: The product may irritate eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear protective clothing and equipment when using a controlled droplet applicator. Wash hands and exposed skin after use.
