GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
This product is both foliar and root absorbed, providing residual soil activity. Optimal results are achieved when applied during active plant growth. Avoid application during dormant or semi-dormant periods, moisture stress, or winter months, as effectiveness may be reduced. In temperate winter rainfall areas with temperatures below 25°C during active growth, results may appear slower. Apply during spring in these areas for better control of perennials. In WA and SA, apply between April-August with expected rainfall. Sufficient moisture post-treatment is crucial for root absorption; avoid application during intense rainfall or conditions causing drift to non-target areas.
SPOTGUN APPLICATIONS:
- To the Soil: Apply using the SPOTGUN; for trees over 5 m tall, consider stem injection.
- Stem Injection Application: Suitable for multi-stemmed trees; requires less product than soil applications.
FOLIAR SPRAY APPLICATIONS:
- Apply during active plant growth when air temperatures are 25°C and above.
- Avoid application during dormant periods, moisture stress, or winter months.
- In temperate areas with temperatures below 25°C during active growth, foliar effects may be slower; herbicide activity relies more on root absorption.
- Sufficient rainfall post-treatment is necessary for root absorption by weeds.
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATION:
- Use SPOTGUN and Stem Injection for soil and stem applications.
- For Foliar Spray Applications: Mix with water and apply using ground equipment.
- Use 100-400L per sprayed hectare with a calibrated boom or 2000-4000L per sprayed hectare with hand spray equipment.
- Use 50 mesh or coarser strainer and nozzle screens to prevent nozzle blockage.
Sugarcane Application:
- AC Tressel must be used with another suitable herbicide in sugarcane.
- Apply shortly before weed growth, preferably to well-prepared, trash-free soil.
- Use lower rates on lighter soils and higher rates on heavier soils.
- Effects may be slow, and results may depend on soil moisture.
- Temporary chlorosis may occur; follow instructions in Critical Comments to minimize injury.
- Tank mix with compatible herbicides; follow label instructions for application, withholding periods, and plant back periods.
USE OF SURFACTANTS/WETTING AGENTS:
- For foliar spray applications only, use a non-ionic surfactant/wetting agent at 250-500mL/100L or spray for improved wetting with ground equipment.
