GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Introduction to Cheers:

  • Cheers is a protectant fungicide.
  • It must be applied proactively before diseases occur or become established for optimal effectiveness.
  • Disease warning services or past history should guide the timing of the first spray.
  • For existing diseases, use an eradicant product mixed with Cheers.

Resistance Warning:

  • Cheers 720 Weathershield is a Group M5 fungicide.
  • Warning about naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to Cheers 720 Weathershield and other Group M5 fungicides.
  • Resistant fungi can dominate the population with repeated use, leading to reduced efficacy and possible yield loss.
  • Difficult to detect resistant fungi before use; no liability for losses due to Cheers 720 Weathershield's failure to control resistant fungi.
  • May be subject to specific resistance management strategies.

Mixing:

  • Invert container for uniform mixture.
  • Mix the required quantity of Cheers with water in the spray tank with the agitator operating.

Application (Tree and Vine Crops): Dilute Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for high water volumes.
  • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy, applying sufficient water to cover to the point of run-off.
  • Determine water volume using industry guidelines or expert advice.
  • Add Cheers as specified in the Directions for Use table per 100L of water and spray to the point of run-off.

Concentrate Spraying:

  • Use a sprayer designed for concentrate spraying.
  • Achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy with the chosen water volume.
  • Determine dilute spray volume for the crop canopy to calculate the concentrate mixing rate.
  • Calculate mixing rate using the concentration factor.
    • Example: Dilute spray volume 1500L/ha, concentrate spray volume 500L/ha, concentration factor 3.
    • Dilute label rate 40mL/100L, concentrate rate becomes 3 x 40, i.e., 120mL/100L of concentrate spray.
  • Adjust spray volume, product amount, and sprayer setup as the crop grows.

PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK:

  • DO NOT contaminate feed or foodstuffs with Cheers or empty containers.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS, AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Dangerous to fish.
  • DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers, or waterways with the chemical or used container.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
  • Rinse containers before disposal; DO NOT dispose of undiluted chemicals on-site.
  • Follow recycling or burial procedures according to regulations.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

  • Cheers can cause eye and skin irritation.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin; DO NOT inhale spray mist.
  • Sensitive workers should use protective clothing.
  • After use, wash hands, arms, face, and contaminated clothing thoroughly.

ADDITIONAL HAZARD AND PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS:

  • Suspected of causing cancer, causing serious eye damage, and damaging fertility or the unborn child.
  • Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces; avoid unintended environmental release.
  • Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS 78) for additional information.

COMPATIBILITY:

  • Compatible with wettable powder formulations of commonly used fungicides, insecticides, and miticides.
  • DO NOT combine with oil-based emulsifiable or flowable pesticides unless prior experience confirms non-injury to turf grass.
  • Avoid spraying oils on crops treated with Cheers and vice versa for at least 10 days.
  • Wetting agents may not improve performance; certain surfactants can cause plant injury under specific conditions.
