General Instructions - Albaugh Rometri 480 SC Selective Herbicide

1. Herbicide Effectiveness:

  • Effective against a range of broadleaf weeds and some grasses.
  • Absorbed by roots, shoots, and leaves of weeds.
  • Can be applied before or after weed emergence based on crop tolerance.

2. Crop Safety:

  • Do not use on recently introduced varieties unless their tolerance is confirmed under local conditions.
  • Caution: The use of other herbicides and/or crop oils on crops treated with Albaugh Rometri 480 SC may cause severe damage.
  • Confirm variety tolerance for newly released crop varieties with relevant authorities.

3. Mixing:

  • Shake the container vigorously for at least 30 seconds before pouring.
  • Add the required quantity of Albaugh Rometri 480 SC to the specified water amount and stir.
  • Rinse empty containers with water and pour into the spray tank.
  • Keep agitators in motion during application.

4. Application:

  • Best results obtained on moist soil; rainfall or sprinkler irrigation (6-12 mm) within 2 weeks is ideal.
  • Pre-emergence:
    • Apply to moist soil, preferably settled, and free of clods or residues.
    • Delay spraying on loose or fluffy soils until after a settling rain.
    • Rain or irrigation required soon after spraying to activate the herbicide.
  • Post-emergence:
    • Control young, actively growing emerged weeds through leaf uptake.
    • Subsequent pre-emergence control of later germinating weeds requires rain or irrigation.
    • Crop may show slight chlorosis or necrosis; two sunny days before spraying enhance crop tolerance.
    • Heavy rain (80-100 mm) on sandy or well-structured soils may leach the herbicide beyond the root zone, reducing residual effect.

5. Ground Spraying:

  • Use a calibrated boom spray set at 200 to 300 kPa pressure.
  • Apply with fan nozzles and a suitable quantity of water (50-100 L/ha).
  • Avoid overlapping, shut off booms during starting, turning, and stops.
  • Delay post-emergence spraying if rain is expected shortly.

6. Aerial Spraying:

  • Wind: Spray in crosswinds, avoid dead calm conditions or inversions.
  • Do not spray when winds are light and variable, ensure spray is going away from crops not recommended for treatment.
  • Flying: Maintain wheels 2 to 3 meters above the crop.
  • Uniform track spacing and altitude suited to aircraft type and crosswind speed.
  • Droplet Size: Use fine droplets for grasses and vertical weeds; for horizontal weeds and drift limitation, use droplets over 200 microns.
  • Water Volume: Apply with 20 to 30 L water/ha.

Note: Always adhere to specified rates, safety precautions, and local regulations. Consult local agricultural authorities for additional guidance.
