General Instructions

Mixing:

  • Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide comes in water-dispersible granule formulation within water-soluble bags. Avoid handling these bags with wet hands or on wet surfaces to prevent breakage.

  • Half-fill the spray tank with clean water, tear open the sachets, and drop the water-soluble bags into the tank without touching them. Mix thoroughly until fully dissolved, then add the knockdown herbicide and remaining water. Maintain agitation and add spray additive to minimize foaming.

Application:

  • Apply Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide at different rates depending on the crop and conditions.

    • For rates up to 90g/ha, apply in a minimum of 80 L spray solution per hectare.

    • For rates above 280g/ha, apply in a minimum of 200 L spray solution per hectare.

  • Adjust pH if necessary before adding the herbicide to the spraying water.

  • Refer to the directions for use of the knockdown herbicide label for specific application instructions for cereals, pulses, oilseeds, lucerne, cotton, sugarcane, and selected non-crop uses.

  • Use coarse droplets for best results with Nufarm TERRAIN 500 Herbicide. Avoid air induction nozzles with oil, and ensure adequate coverage for effective performance.

Crop Tolerance:

  • All crops: Crop safety may be compromised under certain conditions like insect pressure, waterlogging, and nutrient deficiency.

  • Lucerne: Use only in established lucerne that is at least 12 months old. Apply to heavily grazed, recently cut, or desiccated lucerne. Tolerance varies with factors like soil type, crop health, and growth stage. Transient yellowing and growth suppression may occur, but subsequent growth and seed yield should not be affected.

  • Pre-emergent - Incorporation by Sowing (IBS) - Wheat, chickpeas, faba beans, and field peas: Apply up to a week before sowing. Incorporate immediately before sowing with suitable equipment. Avoid deep furrows and overlapping sprays. Leaf burn, vigour loss, and biomass reduction may occur but are transient with no yield penalty.
