Epic OF Herbicide is a selective herbicide for control of important annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in field com and corn grown for silage. Epic is formulated as a 58 % water dispersible granule (OF). Epic may be used in either conventional, conservation or no-tillage crop management systems and may be applied preplant surface, preplant incorporated (mix into the top 1 to 2 inch layer of soil) and preemergence. Do not apply after com emergence or crop injury may occur. Epic will provide its most effective weed control when applied and subsequently moved into the soil by rainfall, sprinkler irrigation or mechanical tillage prior to weed emergence. Epic has multiple modes of actions: inhibition of protein synthesis/cell division and inhibition of enzymes that are essential to the protection of chlorophyll in plant leaves.
OEpic OF Herbicide may be applied using either water or sprayable grade fluid fertilizer as a liquid carrier.
Epic may be applied either alone or in tank mix combination with additional herbicides. When tank mixing, always observe all precautionary statements and limitations on labeling of all products.
Epic can be effective in controlling triazine- or ALS-resistant populations of weed species.
