Description:
Annual. Stems 20-70 cm. Upper leaf sheats inflated; ligule 2-4 mm. Leaf blades 2.5 mm broad. Panicle dense, ovate to oblong, 1.5-3 X 1-1.5 cm. Spikelets shortly pedicellate. Glumes 6-8 mm, glabrous; wing broad, oblique, gradually narrowing to base of glume, margins entire. Sterile lemmas 2, equal, 0.5 mm, glabrous, with a row of hairs at base. Fertile lemma 4.5-5 mm, adjoint-hairy. Anthers 3-3.5 mm. Caryopsis 3.5 mm.
Habitat:
Roadsides, field margins, uncultivated land.
